SW monsoons vigorous in AP, Rayalaseema receives rain

Hyderabad, Aug 3 (UNI) South-west monsoon has been active over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Isolated rain occurred over Rayalaseema today.

The Meteorological Department officials said moderate to rather heavy rain or thundershowers were likely at many places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers were likely at a few places over Rayalaseema.

The officials said isolated heavy to very heavy rain was likely over Telangana and in the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari and West Godavari during next 48 hours.

The stations recorded very heavy rainfall in cm were, Eturnagaram 17 , Dummagudem 15 , Venkatapuram 13.

The stations recorded heavy rainfall in cm were, Hanamakonda and Ramannapet 11 each, Narsampet 10, and Huzurabad and Parkal 9 each.
