Maya, SRK, Sachin among top taxpayers

New Delhi, Aug 3: BSP supremo and UP Chief Minister Mayawati tops India's taxpayers list! She's No. 20. This year she shelled out more than 26 crore as income tax. Most of her income, apparently comes from "gifts" from her supporters. Her income is estimated be around Rs 75-80 crore.

King Khan is first among actors at No. 13, five spots higher than Mayawati. Shah Rukh paid 34 crore as income tax. His mega-hit Om Shanti Om would have contributed to his swelling bank balance. Sachin Tendulkar is the only cricketer to figure in the Top 200 list at number 81. He coughed up almost 9 crore as tax. He remains the country's top sporting brand, despite the emerging popularity of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
