Delhi Pradesh BJP appoints observers

New Delhi, Aug 3 (UNI) Delhi Pradesh BJP today appointed observers in each district to shortlist its candidates for the forthcoming assembly elections.

BJP Delhi Pradesh President Harsh Vardhan said Prof Jagdish Mukhi and Mr Mewa Ram Arya have been appointed observers from New Delhi district while from West Delhi, Mr Alok Kumar and Mr Mool Chand Chawla have been appointed.

Mr Subhash Arya and Mr Ram Bhaj have been appointed observers for South Delhi, Ms Neera Shastri and Mr Surya Bhan Pandey for Keshav Puram and Dr Anita Arya and Mr Shyam Lal Garg for Punjabi Bagh.

For Bawana and Mehrauli districts, Ms Meera Kanwaria has been appointed while Mr Vijay Goel and Mr Anil Bathla would be observers for Najafgarh, Dr Vardhan said.

Mr Yogendra Chandolia would assist Ms Kanwaria in the Mehrauli district.

The party has appointed Mr Abdul Rasheed and Mr Mahender Ahuja as observers for Mayur Vihar while Mr Surya Bhan Pandey and Ms Neera Shastri would be observers for Shahdra.

Mr Harsharan Singh Balli and Mr Yog Dhyan Ahuja have been appointed for Naveen Shahdra, he added.

Those appointed observers for East Delhi are Prof Om Prakash Kohli, Mr Murari Singh Panwar and Mr Yogender Sharma.

Mr Panwar would be observer for Narela along with Mr Vijender Gupta while Mr Mange Ram Garg and Mr Sahib Singh Chauhan have been appointed for Chandni Chowk.

The party has appointed Mr Pawan Sharma and Mr Harsharan Singh Balli as observers for Sadar while Mr Lal Behari Tiwari and Mr Abdul Rasheed have been appointed for Karol Bagh district.

Dr Vardhan said the criteria for selection of candidates was their strong impact over the local people as well as their clean image.
