Centre failed to control terrorism: Joshi
Ujjain, MP, Aug 3 (UNI) Senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi today said the Centre had failed over Kashmir issue leading to rise in terrorism in the country.
''Pakistan-supported terrorist outfits are unleashing terror attacks but the Prime Minister and the Home Minister are unable to rein them in,'' Dr Joshi told reporters here.
He claimed that the order of land allotment to the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) was revoked due to pressure by terrorist and separatist outfits.
The BJP leader pointed out that the previous Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led NDA Government had forced Pakistan to make statement that it would not allow terrorism to foment in its territory.
Taking a dig at the Centre, he said it was surviving on the support of a party that dropped about 150 cases against SIMI during its tenure in Uttar Pradesh. He demanded that the Centre make it clear whether the ban on SIMI would be imposed strictly or not.
