Two watchmen found murdered in Mandi Gobindgarh
Fatehgarh Sahib, Aug 2 (UNI) Two watchmen working in a scrap godown in industrial town of Mandi Gobindgarh were killed with sharp-edged weapons by unidentified intruders early today.
The victims, identified as Kelu Jha, 40, from Bihar and Gurwinder Singh, 27, from a village near Amloh, were employed as watchmen in the godown of Patran Steel Traders a few months back.
According to police, some unidentified persons entered the godown and attacked both watchmen with sharp-edged weapons on the head.
The two were found lying at different places in the godown and Kelu Jha's face was found covered with a cloth, it said.
The murders were noticed this morning when some persons went to the godown to fetch a tractor trolley.
No theft was reported by the owners.
Fatehgarh Sahib SSP Dr Kaustabh Sharma, said the police was thoroughly investigating this double-murder and services of dog squad, forensic and finger print experts were also taken.
