RINL achieves record sales turnover

Visakhapatnam, Aug 2 (UNI) Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the holding company of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP), has set a record by achieving a sales turnover of Rs 3,904 crore for the period April-July 2008, the best since inception.

A VSP release here today said the sale of Rs 3,904 crore during April-July 08 represented a significant growth of 42 per cent over the sales of Rs 2,758 crore made during the corresponding period last year.

The other highlight on the marketing front for April-July 2008 despite holding steel prices was the sale of 5.6 lakh tonnes of value added steel registering a growth of 41 per cent over the corresponding period last year.
