Orissa to open seven vigilance units
Bhubaneswar, Aug 2 (UNI) The Orissa government today decided to open seven new vigilance units in a bid to strengthen the anti- corruption drive and combat corruption.
Official sources said the new vigilance offices would be opened at Dhenkanal under Cuttack Vigilance Division, Jharsuguda, Subarnapur and Deogarh under Sambalpur Vigilance Division, Nabarangpur and Nuapada under Koraput Vigilance Division and Boudh under Berhampur Vigilance Division.
While the squad offices at Dhenkanal, Nabarangpur and Jharsuguda would be upgraded to vigilance offices, new such units would be opened at Nuapada, Subarnapur, Deogarh and Boudh districts, the sources informed.
With these, all the 30 districts in Orissa would have vigilance offices in the state, according to sources.
