Muthoot Capital Q1 up

Kochi, Aug 2 (UNI) Muthooth Capital Services today said it recorded a Profit Before Tax of Rs 180.98 lakh in first Quarter of 2008-09, compared to Rs 105.81 lakh last year, an increase of 71 per cent, while net profit increased from Rs 69.8 lakh to Rs 122.17 lakh, a growth of 75 per cent.

A company release here said the unaudited financial results were approved by the Board of Directors here on July 29.

The total income from operations increased from Rs 218.06 lakh to Rs 351.88 lakh during Q1 while the company managed to contain the increase in interest expenditure to 52 per cent, from Rs 71.72 lakh to Rs 109 lakh.
