Dams receive good inflow despite less rain
Mysore, Aug 2 (UNI) Dams in Mysore district have been receiving good inflows raising water levels to the maximum point despite reduced rains in the catchment areas of Cauvery Basin reservoirs.
The Krishnaraja Sagar Reservoir across river Cauvery continued to receive good inflows due to incessant rains in Kodagu district. The water level in KRS was 115.24 ft against its capacity of 124.80 ft.
The inflow was 27,011 cusecs and the outflow 6,594 cusecs.
Since rains had subsided in Wayanand in Kerala, the inflow into Kabini Reservoir in the district had declined to 22,625 cusecs from 30,000 cusecs, while the outflow was 17,052 cusecs.
In Harangi Reservoir, the water level was 2,858.23 ft against its capacity of 2,859 ft. The inflow into the reservoir was 6,623 cusecs and the outflow 5,820 cusecs.
