BMC considers charging ration card holders lesser fees
Mumbai, Aug 01 (UNI) The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation is contemplating charging locals less at civic-run hospitals, as compared to the charges liable to people from other states, who do not have a ration card.
Speaking at a press briefing here today, Municipal commissioner Jairaj Phatak said a proposal regarding the same has been put up in the group leaders meeting, which will discussed it next week.
'If the same is cleared in the group leaders meeting, it will be put up before the Standing Committee and after getting its clearance, it will be presented in the Civic House', he said.
Mr Phatak said legal aspects will also be considered before passing the proposal.
