AETC caught for power theft: PSEB slaps fine of Rs 2.83 lakh
Patiala Aug 2 (UNI) PSEB officials today caught an Assistant Excise Taxation Commissioner of Fatehgarh Sahib for power theft through "Kundi Connection" (un-metered supply) and slapped a penalty of Rs 2.83 lakh upon her.
A PSEB spokesman said that the fine was slapped after a team, led by Sub Divisional Officer Jatinder Garg, found during a raid that five air conditioners were running with the direct connection from the live wires in a house in Majithia Enclave owned by Surinder Kaur, AETC.
She has paid the fine, he said.
