4 killed as wall collapses at beach

Bhavnagar, Aug 2 (UNI) At least four people were killed and eight others injured when a protection wall at the sea shore near the famous Gopnath Mahadev Temple collapsed today due to rains, 45 kms from here.

According to police the incident occurred this afternoon when the victims were taking shelter near the wall, which was being repaired, because of rains.

A big crowd had thronged the ancient temple it being the first day of the holy month of Shravan.

Till now four deaths have been confirmed by the police and around eight persons have been injured. The injured have been admitted to a city hospital where condition of three persons is stated to be serious. Names and other details of the victims are yet to be ascertained by the police.
