Rupee rises even as stocks fell in opening

Mumbai, Aug 1: The Rupee moved up by ten paise against US Dollar at 42.47/48 as oil prices eased, even as stocks fell in the opening trade on Friday, August 1.

The rupee rose from its previous close of 42.57/58 per dollar in early trade, as lower oil prices calmed concerns of a widening trade deficit, dealers said.
