Return to humid weather, mercury rises to 35.8 deg C

New Delhi, Aug 1 (UNI) A day after heavy rains brought some coolness to Delhi, it was back to warm and humid weather conditions in the Capital city, with the mercury rising to 35.8 degrees celsius.

Though the day started with an overcast sky, the Sun came out in the sky as the day progressed. The bright sunlight, coupled with a rise in humidity to 93 per cent, led to a rise in maximum temperature, from 31 degrees Celsius yesterday, to 35.8 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal.

It could be a return to cooler climes in the next few days with weathermen forecasting some rain and thundershowers in the city in the next 24 hours.

They have also forecast a drop in maximum temperature to 34 degrees Celsius tomorrow.

The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with possiblity of rain and thundershowers in few areas.
