Era Infra bags Rs 79.20 cr stadium building contract from CPWD

New Delhi, Aug 1 (UNI) Era Infra Engineering Ltd (EIEL) today said its division has bagged a contract worth Rs 79.20 crore from Central Public Works Department (CPWD) for constructing a stadium in the city for Commonwealth Games 2010.

The company's construction and contracts division will build a wrestling stadium at Indira Gandhi Stadium Complex by December 2009.

''Commonwealth Games 2010 is a very prestigious event for our country and Era Infra feels pride to contribute in building up the infrastructure for the same. This marks our foray into the sports facilities sector as well,'' EIEL's Construction and Contracts Division Head T D Arora said.

EIEL, a flagship company of Era Group, is engaged in constructing highways, railways, airports, power and industrial projects, institutions and universities and residential and commercial complexes.
