Bhagamandala receices 10 cm rain

Bangalore, Aug 1 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.

Southwest monsoon was weak over North Interior Karnataka.

Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Karnataka; at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.

Heavy Rainfall amounts (cm): Bhagamandala 10, Subramanya 9, Agumbe 8.

Other Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Dharmasthala, Siddapura 6 each, Kollur, Madikeri 5 each, Mudibidre, Belthangadi, Puttur, Gerusoppa Joida, Sringeri, Jayapura, Kammardi 4 each, Bantwal, Bhatkal, Kumta, Virajpet, Linganamakki, Talaguppa, Thirthahalli, Koppa 3 each, Mulki, Mani, Sulya, Udupi, Karkala, Honavar, Karwar, Ankola, Yellapura, Jagalbet, Madapura, Somwarpet, Soraba Shikaripur, Kottigehara, Mudigere, Chikmagalur 2 each.

Forecast valid until Monday morning: Rain/ thundershowers likely to occur at most places over Coastal Karnataka and at a few places over Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Moderate to rather heavy rain likely to occur at most places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and over Kodagu, Chikmagalur, Shimoga and Hassan districts of South Interior Karnataka. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over remaining districts of South Interior Karnataka and all the districts of North Interior Karnataka.

Heavy Rainfall Warning: Heavy rain likely to occur at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and Ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka during next 48 hours.

Outlook for subsequent two days: Decrease in rainfall over the State.

Forecast for Bangalore city: Partly cloudy. Rain/thundershowers likely.
