Ali Abdulla, two others remanded to police custody
Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, Aug 1 (UNI) A local court here today remanded Ali Abdulla, the suspected mastermind behind the recently exposed terror module, and two of his associates to 10 days' police custody.
Delivering the judgement on a petition filed by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Tamil Nadu Police before the Tirunelveli Judicial Magistrate Court- IV, Magistrate (In-charge) D Selvam remanded Ali Abdulla, Heera and Abdul Gafoor to police custody till August 11 with pre-conditions.
The Magistrate ruled that the trio should undergo medical check up once in two days and be permitted to meet their lawyers for half-an-hour once in two days.
The magistrate also ordered the trio to produced them before the court on August 11 by 1700 hrs.
Earlier, the magistrate had remanded Ali Abdulla under judicial custody till August 13.
Unprecedented security blanket was thrown in and around the JM Court Complex and entry of vehicles inside the complex was banned besides posting armed police personnel for bandobust duty.
