Two more die due to rain-related ailments, toll rises to 63
Mumbai, Jul 31 (UNI) Two more people have died due to rain-related ailments, taking the death toll to 63, since the rains started this year.
According to civic officials, a 24-year-old patient, who was admitted to KEM Hospital, for leptospirosis and a 75-year-old patient, who was admitted for malaria, succumbed to the ailments today.
Malaria has so far claimed 22 lives this year and has been the biggest rain-related ailment this year for the corporation, the official added.
Meanwhile, in the period between Wednesday and Thursday, 180 people have been admitted for fever, 65 for gastroenteritis, four for leptospirosis, two for dengue and 74 for malaria in the various civic run hospitals in Mumbai.
