Intermittent rain brings down temperature in Kolkata

Kolkata, Jul 31 (UNI) Intermittent rain lowered the temperature today, bringing much-needed relief to the Kolkatans from the sultry weather for the past few days.

The local Met office recorded 6.9 mm rainfall during the past 24 hours and it brought down the mercury level to 31.7 degree Celsius.

Minimum temperature was pegged at 26.7 degree.

Weatherman had forecast partly cloudy sky with the possibility of rain or thundershower in some areas during the next 24 hours.
