Gowda calls on Surjeet in hospital

New Delhi, Jul 31 (UNI) Former prime minister and Janata Dal (Secular) president H D Deve Gowda today called on ailing Marxist leader Harkishan Singh Surjeet at a private hospital in Noida.

Sources described it as 'purely personal visit'.

Earlier in the day CPI-(M) General secretary Prakash Karat and Rashriya Lok al President Ajit Singh separately met Mr Gowda at his residence and the visit was touted as 'courtesy call'.
