Former Director of Doordarshan Patna sentenced in bribery case
Patna, Jul 31 (UNI) Special CBI judge of Patna R S Prasad today awarded two years rigorous imprisonment and also slapped a fine of Rs 5,000 on Prahlad Kumar Patel, former acting Director of DD Patna in a bribery case.
The designated judge found guilty Mr Patel under various Sections of Prevention of Corruption Act.
According to the charges, the accused was arrested by CBI sleuths in 2001 while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a person for allotment of sponsorship.
