Fergie to play prostitute in musical 'Nine'

Melbourne, July 31 : Singer Fergie is all set to play a prostitute in the musical Nine.

The singer recently signed up for the part of Saraghina and now reveals just her character entailed.

"She's basically a prostitute on the beach. She introduces him to the world of sexuality. It's a very strong song. I'm just thrilled I get to play a character," the Daily Telegraph quoted her, as saying.

The singer will be joining Kate Hudson and Oscar winner Nicole Kidman in the movie.

Hudson will be playing the part of a fashion magazine reporter on assignment in Italy.

The movie, an adaptation of the Tony-winning Broadway musical, will be directed by Rob Marshall.
