Chandigarh to host Air Force Hockey Championship
Chandigarh, Jul 31 (UNI) Air Force Hockey Championship 2008-09 will be organised in the city by 3 BRD (3 Base Repair Depot) Air Force from August 4 to 8 at the Sector 42 AstroTurf Hockey Stadium.
The championship aims at selecting the Air Force Hockey Team for participating in forthcoming Inter Services Hockey Championship.
Eight teams namely, Air Headquarters, Western Air Command (WAC), Maintenance Command (MC), Central Air Command (CAC), Training Command (TC), Eastern Air Command (EAC), South Western Air Command (SWAC) and Southern Air Command (SAC) would be participating in the Championship.
Air Marshal Gautam Nayyar, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Maintenance Command will inaugurate the championship.
