Amarnath Yatra Samiti's talks with Governor end without results
Jammu, Jul 31 (UNI) The first dialogue between the Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti (SAYSS) and Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra still persisted as stalemate and today ended without any results.
''We handed over the copy of our demands to Mr Vohra in writing and now the administration has to decide, as it has been cleared that there is nothing short of the restoration of land to the Shrine Board that we want,'' Tilak Raj Sharma, a senior Samiti member told reporters outside the Raj Bhawan here.
Mr Sharma said that the demands included only the restoration of land and an autonomous status to the Shrine Board.
However, further course of action would be decided after the administration gave its proposals in writings.
''If our demands are considered in their proposal, then we will be ready for a fresh dialogue with the administration, otherwise agitation will continue,'' Mr Sharma added.
