SI grapples with lensman as undertrials quarrel in bus

Ambala, July 30 (UNI) Three undertrials of Central Jail here enganged in a fight here today and an SI grappled with a lensman trying to capture the incident.

The three undertrials first quarreled in the prison bus as soon as they boarded it from the jail in the presence of Police escort headed by sub-inspector Baljit Singh.

During the dispute, Sandip, a Jind resident, was roughed up by undertrials Jambo and Hira of Deha colony, Ambala City. They were separated by the escort party in the bus, but the duo again attacked and injured Sandip on alighting from the vehicle in the court premises.

The Police has registered case against Jambo and Hira.

While the undertrials were fighting with each other, SI Baljit Singh snatched the camera of an electronic media reporter who had taken snaps of the quarreling undertrials.

Later, a complaint was made against the SI, who on the intervention of the SP, expressed regrets for his behaviour and returned the camera.
