Haryana to award districts for increasing nutrition level
Chandigarh, Jul 30 (UNI) The Haryana Government has introduced an ambitious Annual Nutrition Awards Scheme to give cash incentives to the districts showing outstanding performance in decreasing the number of those children who are victims of malnutrition.
Stating this here today, an official spokesman said that under the scheme the districts getting first, second and third positions would be given a cash award of Rs two lakh, Rs one lakh and Rs 50,000 respectively.
He said that under the scheme, the districts of Faridabad, Hisar and Rohtak had already been given first, second and third award respectively on the basis of their performance during the last year.
