Grand alliance of opposition parties impossible in AP : CPI

Hyderabad, Jul 30 (UNI) Communist Party of India (CPI) state Secretary K Narayana today said the opposition political parties' move to float a 'grand alliance' to defeat the ruling Congress in the next elections would not meterialise.

Addressing the press here, Mr Narayana said the grand alliance of all opposition parties would not succeed in achieving their goal if it was established before the election as the motive is not the cause of the people but only power.

Predicting that the new political party being floated by Telugu matinee idol Chiranjeevi in August would influence the state politics in the coming days, he said the CPI would prepare a strategy to defeat the Congress by organising public movements.
