Expired medicines worth Rs 15 lakh recovered
Jalandhar, Jul 30 (UNI) District CIA staff along with the officials of Anti drug Society of Delhi today conducted a raid at a drug store at Goraya and recovered psychotropic drugs and expired medicines worth Rs 15 lakh.
Retired BSF commandant Avtar Singh and in-charge of CIA staff Kulwinder Singh conducted the raids acting on s tip-off that the chemist was running drug store for illegal sale without having a licence.
Leader of the raid party A S Singh said a search of the shop and godown situated near it led to recovery of samples of intoxicating and expired medicines worth Rs 15 lakh.
Drug inspecter Dinesh Gupta said investigation was on to know the exact route of sale and purchase of these medicines.
