CBS should be named after Mr Pillai: Vaiyapuri

Tiruchirapalli, July 30 (UNI) Janata Dal (United) youth wing National Secretary Mr Vaiyapuri today appealed to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M karunanidhi to mame Tiruchirapalli Central Bus Stand (CBS) after former Tiruchirapalli Municipality President Lourdhusamy Pillai.

In a statement here, Mr Vaiyapuri said this was to honour him for his yeomen service to the people of Tiruchirapalli.

The present Tiruchirapalli city Corporation had expanded the central bus stand at a cost of Rs 2 crore. But, the corporation authorities did not consider naming it after Mr Pillai.

Mr Vaiyapury wanted Mr Karunanidhi to instruct the Tiruchirapalli Corporation authorities to put up arches with Mr Pillai's name at all the gates of the central bus stand and erect his statue inside the bus stand.
