Youth, woman and child jump before train
Sangrur, July 29 (UNI) A young man, a woman and a girl child today were crushed to death when they jumped in front of a train under mysterious circumstances near Chhajli village about 3 km from Sunam town of this district.
According to Sunam DSP Joginder Singh Sandhu, it seemed a case of failed love affair though so far no exact reason of the apparent suicide pact could be ascertained.
The trio jumped in front of the evening passenger train 51 LJH, on way from Ludhiana to Hisar via Jakhal.
The youth has been identifiued as 27-year-old Sunam-resident Sukhwinder Singh while the bodies of the woman and the child were so mutilated that police was finding it difficult to establish their identities.
In a suicide note found in his clothes, Sukhwinder who was working as a mason in Sunam, has said that he was ending his life on his own and nobody should be held responsible for the act. He also stressed that he loved his mother very much and sought her forgiveness for giving up his life in this manner.
However, there was no mention of the woman and the child in the letter.
