Youth eyes hat-trick for Limca Book of Records

Puducherry, Jul 29 (UNI) A local youth is attempting to enter the Limca Book of Records for third time this year, by skipping while riding a bicycle with the skipping rope set on fire.

A Arikrishnan (35) entered the record book in 2005 by skipping while riding a bicycle. The event was aimed at spreading AIDs awareness.

His feat of skipping while riding a motorcycle on January 7, 2007, when he covered 70 km in 2.40 hours fetched him the honour for a second time.

Buoyed by success, Arikrishnan has planned to perform 'cycle skipping with fire' he told mediapersons here today.

The youth is hopeful of making it again into the Limca Book of Records as is practising hard. The date is yet to be finalised he added.
