Srinagar Jul 29 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police claimed to have seized fuki and other drugs in the central Kashmir district of Badgam, official sources said today.
They said police launched a drive against the smugglers in the central Kashmir following a tip off that some people were cultivating banned crops and also selling other drugs.
During a raid at Chadoora, police seized a huge quantity of fuki and some medicine capsules used as drugs.
However, no one was arrested.
Police in its continued drive against drug smuggling during the past six months in south Kashmir districts of Anantnag and Pulwama, destroyed banned crops on thousands of kanals of land and also arrested a dozen smugglers.
