Pilgrims leaving for Amarnath reduces to 418
Jammu, Jul 29: The number of Amarnath pilgrims leaving for the cave shrine of Lord Shiva in South Kashmir on Tuesday, July 29 declined to season's low at 418 yatris.
A fresh batch, including 63 women, 84 sadhus and 12 children, left the base camp here at 0500 hrs, official spokesperson said. The caravan included 12 buses and three light motor vehicles. With the ongoing massive agitation in Jammu the number of Amarnath pilgrims leaving for the cave shrine in South Kashmir has sharply decreased. The two-month-long Amarnath yatra had started from June 17.
