Eight ZP members withdraw case from Punjab and Haryana HC

Fatehgarh Sahib, July 29 (UNI) Eight members of Zila Parishad belonging to SAD today said that they had withdrawn their case against the electionss of Zila Parishad (ZP) chairperson and vice chairman, from Punjab and Haryana High Court.

They had opposed the election of SAD candidate Rajinder Kaur Salana, a close relative of Cooperative Minister Capt Kanwaljit Singh, and moved the HC court.

Talking to media persons ZP members Satnam Singh Brass, Jasvir Singh, Satnam Kaur, Sarabjit Kaur, Sukhjinder Kaur, Gurcharan Singh, Kulwinder Singh Blasspur, Harbans Singh and senior Akali leaders Sarabjit Singh Makhan and Sharanjit Singh Rajwara today said that the hearing of the case was scheduled for today but they had decided to withdraw the case as per the directions of Akali high command.

They also declared that they will work in the party as per the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal.
