Bangalore, July 29 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Monsoon was active over Interior Karnataka.

Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Karnataka.

Very heavy rainfall amounts (cm): Belthangadi 17; Somwarpet 15; Bhatkal 14.

Heavy rainfall amounts (cm): Madapura 11; Bhagamandala 10; Siddapura (Uttara Kannada dt), Sringeri, Kammardi 9 each; Dharmasthala, Yellapura 8 each; Sulya, Joida, Madikeri, Agumbe, Kottigehara, Sakleshpura 7 each.

Other chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Puttur, Talaguppa, Linganamakki, Hosanagar, Koppa, Khanapur 6 each; Gerusoppa, Virajpet, Jayapura 5 each; Mudibidre, Subramanya, Udupi, Banavasi, Manchikere, Chittapur, Jeewargi, Lakkavalli 4 each.

Forecast valid until Thursday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at most places over coastal Karnataka and at many places over Interior Karnataka.

Farmers weather bulletin: Moderate to rather heavy rain likely to occur at most places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and over Kodagu, Chikmagalur, Shimoga and Hassan districts of South Interior Karnataka.
