New Delhi, Jul 28 (UNI) Engineering and construction major Larsen and Toubro Ltd (L&T) today said it has registered a 33.32 per cent increase in its profit after tax at Rs 502.44 crore for the first quarter ended June 2008 as compared to Rs 376.85 crore for the corresponding period previous fiscal.

The company's total income for Q1 FY09 grew 50.64 per cent to Rs 7,103.26 crore from Rs 4,715.47 crore in Q1 FY08.
