Falling of slab creates panic in New Civil Hospital
Surat, Jul 28 (UNI) In view of the terror strikes in Ahmedabad, falling off of a slab at the New Civil Hospital sparked off panic among patients here.
Patients and the Hospital staff started running helter-skelter, when a slab fell down at G-0 ward last night, and they presumed it was a bomb blast.
After the security personnel found that it was only a slab, senior staff of the hospital, including RMO and doctors, said the ward was under renovation and that it was only a slab that had fallen.
Meanwhile, the number of patients visiting the Hospital had declined after the blasts at Hospitals at Ahmedabad. Earlier, more than 1,000-1,500 patients used to visit the Hospital on Mondays, but today the flow of patients was very low, Hospital sources said.
