Students repeat class due to non-availability of Hindi teacher
Aizawl, Jul 27 (UNI) Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP), the state's apex student body, has accused the government of forcing students to sit in the same class for two years because of non-availability of Hindi teachers.
''It is truly unfortunate that a number of government schools do not have even a single Hindi teacher,'' MZP president C Lalhmachhuana told UNI here today.
MZP had set August 15 as deadline for the state government to ensure availability of Hindi teachers in government schools, he added.
He maintained that while there are as many as 69 schools (52 government schools and 17 government-aided schools) without Hindi teachers, the government had allotted a total of 15 Hindi teachers to 13 private schools on July 15.
MZP is going to take all possible efforts to ensure equal allocation of teachers in government schools, he said.
