Govt to withdraw proposed load-shedding: Minister
Bangalore, Jul 27 (UNI) Karnataka Energy Minister K E Eshwarappa today said the proposed load-shedding would be withdrawn from next month.
Talking to newspersons here, Mr Eshwarappa said thermal power station in Raichur had begun its power production from today.
The Minister said Government has decided to provide free power supply from tomorrow, following improvement in the storage of water at Dams. BJP promised to supply free power to farmers in its election manifesto, he added.
He said the department had formed special teams for providing security to power stations, following an increase in terrorist activities.
