Eight officials suspended in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jul 27 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir government has suspended eight officials of different departments for remaining absent from duty.

An official spokesman said complaints were being received that officials in different government departments were not attending their duties properly in Bandipora district of north Kashmir.

He said similarly Additional Deputy Commissioner of the district conducted surprise checks of various departments yesterday.

During inspection eight officials were found absent from duty.

Later all the absent officials were suspended, he added.
