Centre to take important decision on internal security: Vasan

Madurai, Jul 27 (UNI) Stating that the Centre is keeping a close watch on the recent terrorist' strikes in Bangalore and Ahmedabad, Union Minister for Statistics and Programme Implementation and Senior Congress Leader G K Vasan today said the Congress-led UPA Government would take an important ''decision,'' shortly on the internal security of the country.

Talking to newsmen here, Mr Vasan, while strongly condemning the serial bomb blasts in Ahmedabad and Bangalore, said the government is taking all efforts to fight terrorism with an iron hand.

He appealed to the people to extend their cooperation to the government to put an end to terrorism, which has no caste, religion and language.
