Ahmedabad blasts E mail traced to Mumbai: ATS chief
Mumbai, Jul 27 (UNI) Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) chief Hemant Karkare today confirmed having traced the IP address of the person, who allegedly sent an e-mail warning, five minutes prior to the serial blasts, which rocked Ahmedabad yesterday, to an apartment in Navi Mumbai.
Talking to a group of reporters this afternoon, Mr Karkare said they raided the flat, seized the hard disks of the computers and detained three persons. But he refused to divulge any further information, saying that he did want to disclose everything to the media, since the investigation is still in progress.
According to sources, the flat was registered in the name of one Abhishek, who had rented it out five months ago to some foreign nationals, who had claimed that they were working for an MNC.
When asked about reports in a section of the media that Bollywood actors, including Aamir Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan, had received threatening e-mails asking them to stop working in movies immediately, he said so far he has not received any complaint nor any information in this regard.
