Youth stabbed to death by unknown assailants

Rajkot, Jul 26 (UNI) A 23-year old man was allegedly stabbed to death today by unknown assailants, at Mangla road area of the city here.

According to police, the deceased was identified as Nilesh Gadhavi, a resident of Bhomeshwar plot area of the city.

Immediately after the incident, he was removed to the civil hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Nilesh was standing near a Pan Shop at Mangla road this afternoon, when at least six unknown assailants came there and knifed him several times and ran away after committing the crime, the police said.

The motive behind the murder was not immediately known. Police are investigating into the incident and have launched a hunt to nab the culprits.
