TKDJU appeals to the govt to increase pension
Tiruchirapalli, July 26 (UNI) The Tiruchirapalli-Karur Districts Jamathul Ulama (TKDJU) today appealed to the Tamil Nadu Government to establish a separate wlfare board for ulamas and to increase their monthly pension to Rs 1500.
TKDJU's President S A H Umar Farooq Mazhahari told newsmen, here today, that a resolution to this effet was adopted at the Meeting of the TKDJU.
He said, the meeting also wanted that the government should ensure the monthly stipend given to all the minority community students in the state and appealed to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi to use his office with the Union Govenrment to increase the quota for Huj pilgrimage for Tamil Nadu.
It also wanted that the Government should retrieve the state waklf board properties from private individuals and utilise the same for the welfare of Muslim minorities.
