Panipat, Jul 26 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today asked the partymen to counter the ''false propaganda'' spread by the leaders of opposition over the nuke deal with the US.

While addressing the 'Sammelan' of party workers from Karnal and Sonepat Parliamentary Constituencies at Panipat, the Chief Minister claimed that the nuclear deal was in country's interest as it would help in meeting the energy demand of every sector of economy in future.

All India Congress Committee general secretary and incharge party affairs in Haryana, Mrs Margaret Alva said the nuclear deal would be one of the main issues during the next Lok Sabha polls.

''As every section of the society was in favour of this deal, the Congress would again come to power with thumping majority'', she said.

Earlier, the Chief Minister unveiled the busts of father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi, Dr Gopi Chand Bhargava and Pt Om Parkash Tirkha at Swadhayaya Ashram at village Patti Kalayana near Samalkha in Panipat district.

He also announced a grant of Rs 22.50 lakh from his discretionary funds for setting up of an Electronic Chaupal at the Ashram. He also laid the foundation stone of a Sanitation Park at Samalkha.
