IBR to launch Global MBA Course in India

Hyderabad, Jul 26 (UNI) IBR Institute of International Business Relations-India, the Indian affiliate of Global Business School at Steinbeis University Berlin in Germany, will launch its first Global MBA Course in India in September this year.

IBR Institute of International Business Relations is offering Executive Master and Doctoral degrees.

''FIBAA (Foundation of International Business Administration Accreditation) considers the quality of IBR programmes to be trendsetting and 44 per cent of all accreditation criteria were assessed with the mark excellent,'' IBR Founder and Director Andreas Kelling told media here today.

He said the new generation of executive education assists businesses in managing global competition successfully. It sought to create tangible benefits for participants and their companies. The MBA course had been accredited by best of the German, Swiss and Austrian industries, he claimed.

Claiming that the IBR approach to executive education in India ''will be unique'', he said IBR students could work and study at the same time.

Institute India Director MV S Ram Prasad said a two-year work experience in management cadre with a basic degree being the eligibility, a student would put through five stints of residential course, each of seven days, over the two-year course period to MBA degree. The Institute would take only 20 students and the 23-member faculty from across 9 countries and provide them both academic and onsite exposure, including a stint at the industries abroad including Israel and Germany, he added.

The institute plans to open two new centres at Bangalore and Thiruvananthapuram with Rs 1 crore investment on each centre during the current year.
