Four feared dead in serial bomb blasts in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, Jul 26 (UNI) At least four people were killed and 25 others sustained injuries in serial bomb blasts that rocked the city today.

According to preliminary reports, at least six bomb blasts occurred at six different places -- Maninagar, Sarkhej, Ishanpur, Naroda, Sarkhej and Thakkar Bapanagar -- of the city.

The bombs were mostly planted in municipal transport buses with an aim to get maximum casualities.

The first bomb blast occurred in Maninagar area, while the last one took place in the Sarkhej area.

Gujarat Home Minister Amit Shah has confirmed three blasts in the city.

Meanwhile, a TV channel claimed that it had received an e-mail from unknown user, stating that the city will be rocked by serial bomb blasts.
