Targami invited to Ist Kashmir leadership conference in Pakistan

Srinagar, Jul 25 (UNI) State secretary of the Communist Party of India (M) Mohammad Yousuf Targami has been invited to attend the first Kashmiri Leadership Conference being held in Islamabad, Pakistan, from August 7.

The conference organised by the Kashmir Institute of International Relations is being held to build up consensus among the Kashmiri leadership on living in either side of the Line of Control (LoC) and seek a just and durable solution to the Kashmir issue, which is acceptable to the people Kashmir, Pakistan and India, including all stake holders, the invitation letter received by Targami said.

It said the conference is aimed towards supporting the Peace process between India and Pakistan, seeking steps towards resolution of Kashmir issue and process of inclusion of Kashmiri leadership in the dialogue.

A number of other mainstream and separatist leaders have also been invited for the conference.
