Sonia provides Rs 1.51 lakh for gold plating of 'kalash'

Ujjain, MP, Jul 25 (UNI) Congress President Sonia Gandhi has donated Rs 1.51 lakh for gold plating of 'kalash' for the famous Mahakaleshwar temple in this temple town.

Temple Management Committee Administrator Shubhkaran Sharma told UNI here that it had received a cheque sent by Ms Gandhi yesterday.

The amount would be spent towards gold plating of 'kalash'.

About 118 'kalash' of the temple are being gold plated.

Ms Gandhi had visited the temple last month and had announced donating the amount for gold plating of 'kalash'.
