OBC Q1 net at Rs 220.5 cr
New Delhi, Jul 25 (UNI) Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) registered an increase in its net profit at Rs 220.5 crore in Q1 FY09 as against Rs 139.2 crore in the same period a year earlier.
The result of this quarter are not comparable with Q1 2007 due to writeoffs of Rs 61.24 crore in June 30, 2007 on account of Global Trust Bank NPAs, a company statement said.
The total income increased to Rs 2,159.21 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2008 where as the same was at Rs 1,680.34 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.
